Pop-Up Clinic: Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the upcoming pop-up clinic coming to your office:

Do I need to sign up for an eye exam in advance?
Yes, please pre-schedule your eye exam (spots are limited). You can reserve your spot by clicking here.

Will the eye exam count as my yearly exam?
Yes, this is a comprehensive exam that will apply to your vision benefits for the year.

What will the eye exam cost?
If you’re a Surency Vision member, your in-network exam copay is $0 at this pop-up clinic.

Can I just come to shop for glasses if I don’t need an eye exam?
Of course! You’re welcome to stop by anytime to browse our frame selection or buy glasses or contacts, no appointment required—even if you aren’t a Surency member or have already used your benefits. Just bring your latest vision prescription.

How will I receive my glasses or contacts?
They can be shipped to your house or picked up at a local Target Optical.

How long will it take to receive my glasses?
You should get them within 3–10 days.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Credit/Debit card ONLY, cash not accepted.

How long will the exam take?
About 20 minutes — but don’t forget to set aside time for frame shopping too.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my eye exam appointment?
Please email PUCappointments@eyemed.com to let us know.

Can I get contact lenses at a pop-up clinic?
We can help you reorder an existing prescription for your current brand of contact lenses at a pop-up clinic. To reorder your existing contacts , you will receive a contact lens re-fitting exam. You will need to bring either your most recent prescription or your current contact lens box. You must also have your current contacts with you for the exam. If any adjustments (prescription change or contact brand change) need to be made to your prescriptions, you will be refered to a nearby office for an appointment.

We do not offer new contact lens exams on-site at the clinic. If you need a new brand of contact lenses or a new prescription, we will refer you to a nearby in-network provider who can deliver a new contact lens exam in their office. This ensures that you and your eye doctor can determine your contact lens prescriptions for new contacts and plan for any contact lens fit and follow-up appointments. If you have questions about contact lenses, feel free to stop by the clinic and an associate can provide information and schedule an appointment for you at the local office.
